The baby strollers that parents select will reveal a lot about their parenting style they follow. The choice of a pram is not just an investment but also an indicator of status.
Kari Boiler had a big plan for the 15 Bugaboo Frogs that she brought back from Amsterdam. She wanted them in the hands of prominent parents.
What is a single buggy?
A single buggy is a light four-wheeled vehicle that is typically driven by a single horse. It is frequently used by Amish people, and is also referred to as a Sleigh. Families typically opt for one buggy as it lets them move around easily.

Buggies that are single buggies.
A lightweight buggy is a great choice for parents who travel a lot, use public transport or are planning to go on a holiday with their child. They typically weigh less than 6kg in weight and fold up compactly, meaning they can be carried easily in overhead luggage compartments of flights. They are also simple to move and are ideal for city travel. They'll usually include a raincover and sunshade too. They're always worth the investment because they'll keep your baby comfy at all times!

A jogger buggy has large BMX wheels and is designed to exercise. It will have a good suspension to absorb the bumps, bounces and other ill effects of off-road usage. Jogger buggies can be difficult to steer as the front wheel can swivel, so it's important to secure this when putting up the kerbs or crossing roads.
Some buggies are reversible. This allows the seat to be positioned either way or backwards (also known as a parent-facing). This is ideal for babies who are irritable in their car seats and prefer looking at their parents. Some models are only forward-facing, therefore they're better for older babies who don't like being interrupted.
There are also tandem buggies that can accommodate two children of the same age. This is a great option if you have twins or babies born close together but can be difficult to navigate, especially in tight spaces. Some tandem buggies come with recline mechanisms on each seat so that your toddler can lay flat while you push them.
The ideal single buggy for you will be determined by your lifestyle, budget and family size. Look for a light buggy that features a seat that is able to be used from the time of birth. If you're looking for a way to future proof your wallet choose an individual buggy that can adapt to a double buggy when the time comes. The phil&teds brand has created the first inline buggy in the world and now offers a range of stroller and kit bundles to help you reach your goal.
A single buggy purchase
A new buggy can be expensive. Most pushchairs that come with bassinets for newborn babies can cost upwards of PS700. This is a lot for parents who are on the tightest budget.
The majority of families purchase at least two buggies, especially if they live in a large city with easy access to public transport or an enormous car boot. They also are more likely to spend their weekends in muddy parks. A sturdy, robust buggy that can hold loads and withstand rough terrain, and possibly expand with the family, and a light travel buggy to take on holidays and restricted spaces, like on public transport or busy streets.
We recommend purchasing a single buggy that you love, and selling it when your child gets older and you have to upgrade to a double. This way, you won't be stuck with a gimmick that isn't what you really need.
Double buggy: Buy one
It is important to consider the many aspects of buying a double buggy, from the cost to the types of reclined positions that are available. You will also want to think about whether you will require an enormous shopping basket and what kind of suspension the buggy has. It is also worth thinking about what features you would like the buggy to have, such as sunshades, rain covers and snack tray.
There are a myriad of double buggies that are available on the market. The right one for you depends on who will use it, your lifestyle, and your budget. If you're expecting twins or a toddler and newborn or a baby, you may require a pushchair that can be adapted to the expanding family. UPPAbaby Vista V2 is a perfect example of this, with 30 different seating configurations for all different ages. It can be used as a single stroller right from the beginning, and later changed into a side by side model as your children get older. It can even be used with a third child if the Ride-Along Piggyback Board is added making it a very versatile option.
Another excellent option is the Mountain Buggy Duet V3.2. This is one of the slimmest side-by-side double buggies available, with a footprint that's almost as narrow as a single buggy. It has two seats facing the world and can be reclined independently. They can also be flipped to flat position. It can be adapted to fit two carrycots or cocoons, as well as two baby car seats, so it can be used for twins or children of different ages.
It is easy to fold and can be folded with one hand due to the twist mechanism on the handle. It's light and compact, but not as small as the Cybex Gazelle S. It has good suspension and a footbrake that works smoothly, making it easier to push over rough surfaces. The seats are cushioned and the straps for harnesses are thick which makes them comfortable for your children to sit in.
